ABOUT ME

Kenya Mahogany Fashaw is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and visionary known for her compelling storytelling and transformative community work. As a spoken word poet, actress, producer, and singer, she weaves together poetry, theatre, music, and visual art to create immersive experiences that inspire, heal, and ignite social change.
She wrote and directed the Henry Award-winning stage play Colorism: Breaking the Chains of Complexion, produced by 5280 Artist Co-Op, and was honored by Westword as one of Colorado’s Creatives in 2020. Recently, Kenya delivered her debut TEDx Talk, marking another bold chapter in her journey to amplify underrepresented voices and shift narratives.
Through her creative platform, Kenya builds stories that reimagine the lives of people of color—centering beauty, complexity, and resilience. Her work is a call to action wrapped in emotion: imaginative, empowering, and soulfully disruptive.
